Frequently asked questions

Is the Airtel reward real?

Yes — Airtel is part of the live reward catalog in Kenya, and real players redeem it every day. We never ask you to pay to redeem.

How fast does the Airtel reward arrive?

Rewards are delivered digitally after you redeem — most arrive within minutes, though some can take a little longer.

How much can I earn?

It depends on how much you play and how many reward boxes you open. Halo Mini doesn't promise fixed earnings — but playing is always free.

Do I have to pay or deposit anything?

No. Halo Mini is free to download, free to play and free to redeem. No purchase is ever required.

How do I get free airtime on Airtel?

On Halo Mini you collect points by playing mini games and watching short video ads, then redeem Airtel airtime in KES 10, 20, 50 or 100, with no purchase needed. Airtel's own airtime loan is Kopa Credo on *544#, with a 10% fee, and the full amount comes off your next top-up. A friend or relative on Airtel can also send you airtime with Me2U.

How do I borrow airtime on Airtel Kenya?

Dial *544# and follow the Kopa Credo prompts, then pick an amount from Ksh 10 to Ksh 150. You need at least 2 top-ups in the last 3 months to qualify. Airtel keeps 10% upfront, so borrowing Ksh 20 gives you Ksh 18 but you owe Ksh 20. It comes off your next top-up, and you must clear it before you can borrow again. If you would rather not borrow, Halo Mini lets you redeem Airtel airtime in KES 10, 20, 50 or 100 with points from mini games, with no purchase.

How to get Airtel airtime on Halo Mini

Halo Mini is a free rewards app. You play short mini games and watch short video ads to collect points. When you have enough, you can redeem Airtel airtime in KES 10, 20, 50 or 100. No purchase or deposit is needed, and Halo Mini does not promise fixed earnings. Halo Mini is an independent app and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Airtel.

The airtime is sent straight to the phone number you enter when you redeem. There is no scratch card or PIN to load. In the 30 days to 25 September 2026, the median time from redeeming to delivery was under a minute.

Before you confirm, check the number digit by digit and make sure it is an Airtel line, not Safaricom. The airtime goes to whatever number you type.

Airtel's own ways to get airtime without cash

Airtel's own way to borrow airtime with no cash is Kopa Credo, an airtime advance on *544#. It is a loan, not free airtime. Airtel keeps a 10% fee upfront and takes back the full amount when you next top up.

When we checked Airtel Kenya's website on 25 September 2026, we found no loyalty points scheme and no running game to win airtime. If a friend or relative on Airtel wants to help, they can send you airtime from their own line with Me2U.

  • Kopa Credo: dial *544# and follow the Kopa Credo prompts. Amounts are Ksh 10, 15, 20, 30, 50, 60, 100 and 150.
  • Who can borrow: Airtel prepaid customers with at least 2 top-ups in the last 3 months. Airtel says you qualify for bigger amounts by using your line more.
  • Fee: 10%, taken upfront. Borrow Ksh 20 and you get Ksh 18 but owe Ksh 20. Borrow Ksh 100 and you get Ksh 90 but owe Ksh 100.
  • Repayment: top up and the loan is deducted automatically. Smaller top-ups go toward it too. You must clear the full amount before you can borrow again.
  • Check what you owe on *544#. Check your airtime balance on *131#. A Kopa request can't be cancelled once sent.
  • Kopa Internet: borrow a data bundle on *544#, then choose Kopa Internet. Repay within 72 hours. For example, 300MB for 1 day means Ksh 22 to repay.
  • Me2U: Airtel's airtime-sharing service lets someone top up your line from their phone, up to Ksh 2,500 per transaction.

Avoid fake free-airtime offers

If a link or forwarded message promises unlimited free Airtel airtime, close it, and never share a one-time code sent to your phone. Airtel's Kaa Chonjo safety page adds the rest.

  • Do not share your PIN or password with anyone, including Airtel staff. Airtel will never call you to ask for it.
  • Airtel only calls from 0733-100-000 about promotions. Treat promotion calls from other numbers as fake.
  • Report a fake promotion call or a caller asking for your details: dial *100# and choose Report Fraud.
  • Airtel customer care: 100 from an Airtel line, or 0733 100 100 from another network.
