Frequently asked questions
Is the Airtel reward real?
Yes — Airtel is part of the live reward catalog in Uganda, and real players redeem it every day. We never ask you to pay to redeem.
How fast does the Airtel reward arrive?
Rewards are delivered digitally after you redeem — most arrive within minutes, though some can take a little longer.
How much can I earn?
It depends on how much you play and how many reward boxes you open. Halo Mini doesn't promise fixed earnings — but playing is always free.
Do I have to pay or deposit anything?
No. Halo Mini is free to download, free to play and free to redeem. No purchase is ever required.
How can I get Airtel airtime in Uganda without cash?
On Halo Mini you collect points from mini games and short video ads, then redeem Airtel airtime in UGX 500, 1,000, 2,500 or 5,000, with no purchase needed. Airtel's own option is Beerako on *155#, a loan with an 11% charge that is taken back when you next top up. Airtel's FAQ says you need at least 60 days on the network, top-ups of at least UGX 800 and at least 4 top-ups in the last 30 days. A friend on Airtel can also send you airtime with Me2U.
Is there an Airtel play and win for free airtime?
When we checked airtel.co.ug on 25 September 2026, we did not find a current Airtel game that gives airtime as a prize. Airtel promotions run for a set time and then end. If a message says you won Airtel airtime, check on airtel.co.ug first and never share your PIN. With Halo Mini, you play mini games for points and redeem them for Airtel airtime.
How to get Airtel airtime on Halo Mini
Halo Mini is a free rewards app. You get points from playing short mini games and from watching short video ads. You can then redeem your points for Airtel airtime. No purchase or deposit is needed. Halo Mini does not promise fixed earnings. Halo Mini is an independent app and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Airtel.
The airtime is sent straight to the phone number you enter when you redeem. In the 30 days to 25 September 2026, the median time from redeeming to delivery was about a minute or less.
Before you confirm, check the phone number twice and make sure it is an Airtel line, not MTN. The airtime goes to the number you type.
- Airtel airtime amounts: UGX 500, 1,000, 2,500 and 5,000
- Where it goes: straight to the phone number you enter
- Cost: no purchase or deposit
- Points: from playing mini games and from short video ads
Airtel's own options when your airtime runs low
Airtel Uganda has official ways to get airtime when your balance is empty. Beerako is a loan, not free airtime. You pay it back with an 11% charge when you next top up. Me2U lets a friend send you some of their own airtime.
Airtel says you can use Beerako airtime just like normal airtime, for calls, SMS, data and offers. Dial *170# to check your Beerako airtime.
- Airtel Beerako: dial *155# for airtime credit, voice bundle credit or data bundle credit. You can also dial *155*amount#.
- Beerako charge: 11% of the amount you borrow.
- Who qualifies: Airtel's FAQ says you need at least 60 days on the network, at least UGX 800 in top-ups and at least 4 top-ups in the last 30 days.
- Paying back: the loan is taken when you next top up airtime. You can also pay it with Airtel Money when you buy a bundle. Dial *155# and choose Airtime loans to see your credit limit at the top of the menu.
- Me2U: a friend on Airtel can send you airtime. Airtel does not charge to send it. The limit is UGX 17,000 per transaction and 3 transactions a day. Your friend dials *100#, chooses 10 Self Help, then 6 Me2U, or uses the MyAirtel app.
- Call Me Back: low on airtime? Send a free call me back SMS. Dial *100#, choose 10 Self Help, then 8 Call me back.

Avoid fake free-airtime offers
Airtel warns customers about fake emails, SMS and websites. Its advice for suspicious emails: delete them without opening, do not click links or open attachments, and never give sensitive account or personal details in reply.
Keep your Airtel Money PIN and any code sent to you by SMS to yourself. Halo Mini never needs a purchase or deposit. If anyone asks you to pay to unlock free airtime, do not pay.
- Do not click links in messages that say you won free airtime.
- Never share your PIN or SMS codes with anyone.
- Do not pay a fee to receive a prize or free airtime.
